Today was a day on board as we cruised upstream along the Moselle River to Bernkastel. The scenery is beautiful with green foliage, hills, and steep vineyards on both sides of the river.
The ship has a hairdresser, masseur, and gymnasium for anyone so inclined. The gym does not seem to have had much use!!
The scenery from Cochem to Bernkastel was mainly villages between row after row of grape vines.
Castles and painted homes line up along the Moselle River.
The castles just keep coming along our route.
Our cruise ship just squeezes under some of the older bridges.
Margaret and Rob about to start their 22 km bike ride, which is a free choice activity. The ship dropped them off with electric bikes, and they will be met at Bernkastel when we arrive. These two have undertaken every strenuous activity and are having the time of their lives.
Vineyards fill every available agricultural space along both sides of the river.
